What is a Historical Consultant?

As a professional historian, I can help you with whatever your historical needs may be. Do you need help with your next museum installation, or with the creation of your next exhibition? Do you need an appraisal of your western artifacts? Do you need an expert to speak at an event, or for your documentary? Do you need someone to help with the historical accuracy of your film project?

Paul Fees earned his B.A. in history from Stanford University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in American Civilization from Brown University.  He was curator and senior curator at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, from 1981 to 2001.  Since then he has written and lectured about the American experience, especially in the West, and has consulted for the National Park Service, for museums in several states and in England, and for historical auctions in Colorado and Texas.  He recently retired from the Cody Stampede Board after 21 years, two of them as President.

He is past president of the Wyoming Council for the Humanities and currently serves on the board of the American Indian Institute, where he was recently interim director, as well as the Park County Public Library.
